2019 Novel Coronavirus: Current State of Knowledge and Public Health Response
UCI Infectious Disease Science Initiative is hosting a public seminar to discuss the current state of 2019 Novel Coronavirus. We are pleased to have an esteemed panel of experts offer the latest information and their advice on prevention and implementation.

The program will begin with a presentation by Dr. Matt Zahn, Medical Director of the Division of Epidemiology and Assessment for the Orange County Health Care Agency. Parking at the Student Center Structure is $13 for public guests
UCI Infectious Disease Science Initiative Director Sanghyuk Shin will then lead a faculty panel followed by a question and answer session. Faculty panelists include:
- Michael Buchmeier, Division of Infectious Diseases, School of Medicine, and Associate Director of Center for Viral Research
- Albert Chang, Medical Director, UCI Student Health Center
- Shruti Gohil, Division of Infectious Diseases and Associate Medical Director of Epidemiology & Infection Prevention, School of Medicine
- Vladimir Minin, Department of Statistics, Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences
UCI and UCI Health have implemented measures to protect our community and this public seminar is a mean to address questions about the virus and its impact. This event is open to the public and UCI faculty, students and staff are encouraged to attend.
